Standard we work to
We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1, Level AA. That is the standard courts and regulators reference, and it is the one we measure against.
What has been tested
The following were measured across every page of this site, not assumed:
- Every image carries a text description
- Every form field has a label attached to it
- Text contrast measures at least 16 to 1 against its background, where the standard asks for 4.5 to 1
- Each page has one main heading, in a logical order
- The site can be navigated by keyboard, with a visible focus outline
- A skip link lets keyboard users jump straight to the main content
- Menus and form errors are announced to screen readers
- Motion is reduced automatically if your device asks for that
Where we know we fall short
Stating this plainly is more useful than claiming full conformance.
- Image descriptions were written by the team building the site rather than by the person who created the photography. They are being reviewed.
- The site has not yet been tested end to end by someone who uses a screen reader daily. That testing is planned.
- Some images are larger than they need to be, which slows the site on a poor connection.
- The video on the application page is hosted by a third party, and its player controls are outside our direct control.

If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, please write to arelis@arelisdesigns.store. Tell us the page and what happened. We aim to reply within five working days and to fix confirmed problems as a priority.

How this statement is maintained
This statement is based on a review of the live site carried out on the date shown above. It is updated when the site changes or when a problem is reported and resolved.
